First Days Of Humanity – Lithic / Wounds Leaking Coagulated Sludge

This one-man project started as a joke but with time, this mutilated mess has transformed into something more serious. Here is a tape with 2 EPs from 2022, that was released by mighty Grindfather prod. About 20 minutes of solid filth and loud noise. So what you say, shall we begin?) The first stuff (Lithic) is very LDOH oriented… Crazy blastbeats and the bright sonorous sound of the snare drum (yes I know that all these are just sampled drums, but hey, dude done a really nice job here). Wicked pitch-shifted vocal but most of all I love that monstrous … Continue reading First Days Of Humanity – Lithic / Wounds Leaking Coagulated Sludge

Go! Fest! (19.03.23)

Greetings guys! Hope you`re all well. Please introduce yourself to our readers. Let`s start! Zenn: Here’s Zenn, ¼ of the GO!FEST crew. I’ve played in several bands in the past (one of them, Compost, was reviewed in this website years ago) and I write reviews and interviews on The New Noise (Italian) and Touch of Evil. I’m also a UX/UI designer and Front End Developer with very bad music tastes. Pompeo: Hi, I’m Pompeo, for 11 years one of the people in charge for Go! Fest, together with Daniele, Andrea and Siro, who joined us this year. I also play … Continue reading Go! Fest! (19.03.23)

Tongue Scum!

Tongue Scum are an Australian Grindcore unit formed in 2019 hailing from Naarm (Melbourne). A self-proclaimed power-trio they boast members from classic scene bands such as Effigy to Extinction, Grudge!, Stoning, and many, many, many more. Occasionally, renown for their chaotic blend of toxic grind, their sound recalls bands such as Napalm Death, Pig Destroyer and Wormrot while drawing wider influence from extreme Australian acts like Captain Cleanoff, Extortion and Damaged. The TongueScum sound combines technical savagery and fast paced riffage, served with jarring brute force. Their energetic live shows have been described as both mesmerizing and brief. Having shared … Continue reading Tongue Scum!

Gastronomic Error / Masticated Polyps

This split was 2 years in the making… and the result is very harsh and dangerous. These 13 minutes will be a real test for your brain. On one side we have a Gastronomic Error a noisecore that can make your ears bleeds, and on the second Masticated Polyps gorenoise project that will make you puke! Will dare you to play such a record? 😉 Let`s warm up with some noise. Canadian trio Gastronomic Error recorded a really dense portion of chaos. This is a “play fast, and scream your lungs out” noisecore. The bass is overloaded with distortion, and … Continue reading Gastronomic Error / Masticated Polyps

Plutocracy – Civilized…….?

Plutocracy was a legend! They were one of the grindcore/powervilonce pioneers in the USA. Can`t say that these guys were productive, but they left a really nice legacy after. I had never had a chance to get their stuff here in Europe, but Alimentary Music sorted my problem. “Civilized…….?” is the second compilation in Plutocracy discography, it contains 19 tracks, songs from Snitch E.P., unreleased songs, tracks from splits with Aproctous, 976 and Discordance Axis, and a compilation Son Of Bllleeeeaaauuurrrrgghhh!. Must say that material is rare, hard to find and, of course, expensive, so it is very nice to … Continue reading Plutocracy – Civilized…….?

Thanatopsis – Fidelis Ad Mortem

When I heard that Thanatopsis are back from the hiatus I was really happy. That nasty duo knows how to make good stuff. So “Fidelis Ad Mortem” is their first recorded material since 2012, and we have here 15 minutes of solid and raw goregrind. Can`t say that I was surprised by this cover art… this is a very common approach for this genre, all these human remains and blood, nothing new but on the other side this is a tribute to the genre. Despite the fact that Thanatopsis is an international project (Brazil/Sweden) music of this squad has every … Continue reading Thanatopsis – Fidelis Ad Mortem

Bandit – Siege of Self

The Philadelphian trio Bandit finally released their new album. “Siege of Self” is something they have never done before. This record is more complicated, more aggressive, and crazy. You really need to be prepared for such music, hehe! It’s also a good example of modern extreme music… The visual part of this work may look simple, but I found it very elegant. Just look at this art during listening to the records and the content of the picture will be revealed to you. Yes, Bandit made a damn puzzling album this time, but I love not-unusual and tricky stuff. On … Continue reading Bandit – Siege of Self

Golem of Gore/Lipoma

I think there is no need for a long introduction. Both bands became pretty famous in the last few years… But I want to highlight that this split CD contains really top shit! Golem Of Gore (Italy) and Lipoma (USA) did their best! So let`s start with G.O.G. side! Holy shit! This is a really heavy one… This noise could be compared with the creature from the Blob movie, this huge mess will crash you and melt your bones! You can disagree with me, but I think the idea to add a guitar player was damn right! The sound became … Continue reading Golem of Gore/Lipoma

Depopulation Department – Starvation

What do you know about the Spanish crust punk scene? They have so many cool bands, and even newcomers are playing bloody good stuff! I can`t say that Depopulation Department is new in this deal, this band consists of real veterans of the scene (Avulsed, Haemorrhage, Ultimo Gobierno). Last year these guys released a new mini-album “Starvation”… this work has 8 songs of the harsh unstoppable crust. There are no dark melodies, stupid samples, weird additional instruments, and other modern things… we have here just straight angry, and fast music! To be honest, these are pretty brutal tunes, and I … Continue reading Depopulation Department – Starvation

Massgrav – Slowly We Rock

Last year Swedish rock stars Massgrav released their 5th album. “Slowly We Rock” became pretty popular, must admit this is their most punk-n-roll work and I love it very much. This record even won a local punk award (cool isn`t it?)! I already said about punk, but our heroes didn`t lose their crazy energy. They are fast and furious as always but this time you will be surprised by cool solos, nice genre twists, and so on. I can tell you only one thing, I love to play this CD when all my neighbors are home, haha! This album is … Continue reading Massgrav – Slowly We Rock

Vomitoma / Urine Festival

Okay, boys and girls today we have something really nasty. This 7″ is full of filth and perversions. From one side we have dirty gorenoise from Vomitoma and from another lost and found tracks from the legendary cybergore duo Urine Festival! I think this is a great present for all harsh maniacs! So let`s taste it! The US part of this split is remarkable in its dense sound and pitch-shifter vocals. Short but loud songs will slice your brain piece by piece. Down-tuned bass on the background making this mess really monstrous, and the drum-machine sound will drill your mind … Continue reading Vomitoma / Urine Festival

Turtle Rage – Early Years

Turtle Rage is a German fastcore/thrashcore band that is making nice and fast music and it also using a lot of Ninja Turtles temes in their music/arts. So to do this review I ordered a pizza, ahaha! So what this LP is all about? This is a compilation of the early works of this squad, all in all, we have 62 tracks. But not only music of Turtle Rage brings joy, just look at the cover art, I bet it will make you smile or laugh. So what you`ll say? Let`s start, right? I don`t know how about you guys … Continue reading Turtle Rage – Early Years

Max/625 Thrashcore rec (27.02.23)

Good day Max! I hope you`re doing well. How the things with the label going on? Hello Alex. I hope you are safe and doing well during this horrible time.As for 625, things are going relatively well, although the recent increase in manufacturing costs, postage, etc has been really difficult. When I first started, I could make an EP for about $1.50 USD which I could then wholesale for $2.00. Now, Eps cost about $6-7 USD to manufacture, which means by the time they get to stores, the mark-up is the equivalent to $12-15 or sometimes even $20 with postage. … Continue reading Max/625 Thrashcore rec (27.02.23)
