Bloody Phoenix / Lycanthrophy / Skunk / Disturbance Project (Dead Heroes rec)

It has been years since this album was released, I wanted this LP so much, but only this year I got a chance to get this beautiful beast, haha! Yeah I know, all the bands on this release are bloody good, I don’t need to go into detail about them… But the names were not the first thing that caught my eye. Look at this artwork, this image is absolutely killer! It was made by Szymon Siech ( and this work perfectly fits with this noise and incredibly conveys the atmosphere of madness from all 4 bands. But, enough about … Continue reading Bloody Phoenix / Lycanthrophy / Skunk / Disturbance Project (Dead Heroes rec)

Controlled Existence / Headless Death (Dead Heroes rec)

Be careful boys and girls, this split is very spicy. This is the place where Czech fastness meets with Australian primitivism. This release sounds like a weird kind of yin and yang, on one side we have ferocious evil and on the other side we have same evil but more angry and barbaric. As you already understand, this is a very strong release, with which you need to be more careful. So let’s taste this piece of noise!  Czech fellas from Controlled Existence recorded some very “unpleasant” (for someone of course) material. This noise is fast like a rocket and … Continue reading Controlled Existence / Headless Death (Dead Heroes rec)

Needful Things – Deception (Psychocontrol records)

Czech veterans Needful Things stunned me with the news about their new album. I remember that I thought, “Hell yeah, one more pleasant surprise for this year”, and I was right. This album (3rd in order) proved to be strong in taste (like shot of vodka) and heavy with its sound. In addition to all of this, the album has a very good visual design. I like how the artist compiled all the elements together and chose a beautiful set of colors. The main theme of this art is blind justice, victims, endless destruction, and as a consequence, oblivion in … Continue reading Needful Things – Deception (Psychocontrol records)

Needful Things / Overviolence (Psychocontrol records)

Today is Tuesday and, as always, this day sucks, so let’s plug it with a split from Needful Things and Overviolence! As I know, originally this split was released as a tape and it was released for an Asia tour. Now it’s been turned into a vinyl, and holy moly this piece looks great. Weird cover art, with gloomy faces, a combination of colors all of which create a nice aggressive and Grind look. Needful Things is a Grind mastodon of the Czechs scene. Can you believe that this machine has been active more than 20 years? And they’re still … Continue reading Needful Things / Overviolence (Psychocontrol records)

Rubufaso Mukufo / Nervous Impulse / Epicrise

Wake up sleepy head, it’s time for Grind! Today your silent morning will be crushed with this nice 3-way split. So let’s find out what is hidden under this cheesy cover art… It’s so lovely to see that Rubufaso Mukufo is back! This is a new line up, new power, new sound and life for this band (at least I hope so). I can honestly say that these 11 songs are a good step in a direction to a new higher level. All the material has a better, more clean sound (with metal taste). The songs wreak of punk riffs … Continue reading Rubufaso Mukufo / Nervous Impulse / Epicrise

Malignant Tumour / Squash Bowels (Fat Ass records)

Be careful kids because today we will open an old bag full of pale and ugly maggots. And this year it turns (no fucking way!) 20 years old! So I carefully put the reissue of the MT/SB split, on my turntable. And I must admit that this white color (the color of hospital a ward) is damn good. The whole new design is badass, I mean that all the visuals are reborn in new high quality skin. Front art with a pathological theme reminds me something from Carcass works. This dirty autopsy table, sharp scalpel and the hand of a … Continue reading Malignant Tumour / Squash Bowels (Fat Ass records)
