Plutocracy was a legend! They were one of the grindcore/powervilonce pioneers in the USA. Can`t say that these guys were productive, but they left a really nice legacy after. I had never had a chance to get their stuff here in Europe, but Alimentary Music sorted my problem. “Civilized…….?” is the second compilation in Plutocracy discography, it contains 19 tracks, songs from Snitch E.P., unreleased songs, tracks from splits with Aproctous, 976 and Discordance Axis, and a compilation Son Of Bllleeeeaaauuurrrrgghhh!. Must say that material is rare, hard to find and, of course, expensive, so it is very nice to see all that materials in one record.

I think a lot has been said about this band’s music… but for me, the main thing in this buzzing madness is hate and aggression. A song can be slow, full of sludge riffs but it still can hurt you. This mix of genres is fucking toxic, it pollutes your mind with its tuns and vibrations. Screams, growls, gunshots drums… the monstrous, low sound of the bass and guitar… that is just half of the story. Plutocracy used all the dark emotions that they had, just to create this music. And that is what can scare you! The atmosphere of “Civilized…….?” is so gloomy, damn! But music like this should be done this way… because it’s not emo shit, haha!
