The Czech crust scene has a lot of cool bands, but somehow I missed a lot of the names (but that`s because I mostly focused on the grind genre). Anyway, I need to have to fix my own ignorance. Here is a very nice melodic crust punk band from Prague. Dust & Ashes is not a new album (it was released in 2020), but it was released only in vinyl format. Now thanks to Romantic Songs rec and Global Help rec we have a CD version! Hmm, this band used almost all classic attributes of the genre. Starting from the cover art and ending with lyrics… Fighting for your own right, war, capitalism, and so on. All traditions were preserved and that`s really cool.

Ah yes, I forgot to mention that this band has a lovely female vocalist. Hmm, I think it will be logical to go in order. Generally, this is damn good music with a strong spirit and pumping energy. And it`s unusual (to me) to hear so many melodies in the songs. But I really enjoy them, that makes this music spicy and catchy. I can get in love with the sound of the bass, haha, it sounds so nice and crunchy. The guitar and drums are good as well. The lead vocal is not just screaming, that girl is really singing, and singing well! Maybe it`s because of my prof deformations but sometimes I caught myself thinking that this or that song sounded almost like psychobilly, haha!
This album has become a breath of fresh air for me, try it and you won`t regret it!
