Nauseate – Tales of Groaning Existence

At the end of last year Indian grinders Nauseate released their first full length. This is LP worth of checking because: a – grindcore genre in India is pretty rare thing, b – the album has strong material. About the visual part… Not sure what is doing Catalonia`s Almogabars in the image, as far as I know, they have nothing in common with India, but generally, this image looks good. For this work guys created and recorded 33 songs (an impressive amount). Must say, that these songs sound really nice, with old-school vibes and sound, and also this is the best recordings of Nauseate so far. So let`s put this CD into our player and review this shift in more detail.

As I said before, the whole material has an old grind spirit. I caught a lot of influences from the classic bands, like Agathocles, Rot, Napalm Death etc. and that is cool! To be honest I love the final production and sound, as far as I remember Guyome (Pulmonary Fibrosis) did the sound work. The sound is heavy and rotten and deep… this is how grindcore should sound! The riffs are simple but they are easy to remember, which is good. The vocal is pretty regular for such a genre but who cares, it sounds perfectly here. Drums are nice too, nice snare sound, but the pretty plastic sound of the bass drum… nothing outstanding, but nothing bad at all.

If you’re looking for some old-fashioned grindcore “Tales of Groaning Existence” is the album that you`re looking for!
