It finally happened! A brand new album of Brazilian legends NVE is here! I was really waiting for this piece of gore, and boom, we finally have the opportunity to listen to this beast! For those who love (like me) physical stuff, Eclectic production released this album in CD format (btw the design of it is really great). But you may ask, is this band still good after so long silence? I`ll say YES! This material is very strong and heavy. During the years NVE makes some line-up changes and now it`s Fred (all instruments) and Pierre De Palmas – vocal (Blue Holocaust/Vomi Noir and BrainDead zine). Ah yes, this bloody good art was made by Pierre too, he totally conveyed the atmosphere and made wonderful design!
If I remember right, it takes a lot of time for Fred to finishing every single tune of Thou Shalt Be Slaughtered, but the result is very solid. Production of this LP is pretty raw (in a good way of course), Pierre was also in charge of the sound. The guitars have a very low and good tune, riffs are simple and juicy. The vocal part is a real savage, Pierre used a clear growl and classical pitch-shifted vocal. As for the drums… hm, yes they aren`t perfect, some parts are sloppy… but I still love the result.
This album has an interesting atmosphere, I can`t describe it you need to feel it by yourself. All 17 songs run so fast, I didn`t notice when everything was over, haha! This year is fucking reach with good releases and this LP is one of them!
