Neuro-Visceral Exhumation is a true and legendary gore act from Brazil. It`s really cool to see that guys are back and working on new stuff, hope it will be released this year. But for today let`s listen to the tape re-issue of their debut album “Mass Murder Festival”. The cassette looks and sounds very solid, Left Hand Patches made a nice job! Unlike the last CD re-issue, this one has original cover art, which is best, in my opinion. There are no bonus tracks or something like that, but who cares?

This classical gore album has 19 songs, must say that all of them are overloaded with a nasty and heavy sound. Also, this material has monstrous energy… this simply fucking asphalt paver! Dirty riffs, fast blast beats, and ugly vocals, every main ingredient is here! I want to note that the whole album is well balanced. There are blasting parts and more traditional middle tempos. Of course “Mass Murder Festival” has a typical Brazilian taste, I find it awesome that almost every gore band from that country always has this unique style.

This is one of these albums, which you take from the shelf again and again. It`s hard to imagine the gore genre without this album.
