Dødsdømt – 1989 – 2019

Norwegian underground is something unknown to me. For example, Dødsdømt is old crusty hardcore punks from that country. Want to say that this is a very interesting and pleasant discovery. The guys started at the beginning of the 90th but after some years they stopped playing. Only after more than decade guys will reunite, and the new material will be released in 2018.
This LP is a collection of all their songs, starting with very old songs and ending with the last recorded song. Also, this vinyl is a part of the punk series by Power It Up rec. For the last 5 years, this label re-released a lot of great and not well know bands from the golden era of hardcore punk.

The A-side starts with a gorgeous intro (unfortunately I don`t the origin). The first song is a bit tricky, it has strong Discharge vibes, good d-beat, and a powerful crunchy bass sound, but the other songs have more melodies and sounds more punkish. This music is full of power and aggression, and I really love it. Some songs have a dark atmosphere some no, it`s great that guys managed to create something with real live energy. I love how violent this vocal sound, same with the drums. The guitar is a bit cluttered with a bass, which is very usual as for the punk hardcore genre, and I fucking love it.
I got a ton of joy during the listening, this is really badass stuff! There was not a single moment when I wanted to turn off this album. This is absolutely unboring and tasty material, which you will listen to again and again!
