The Communion / Bastard Noise

This split 7” was taken from the bottom of my review box. Due to some technical problems, it took me a hell of a time to write something about this release. Let me begin. I expected nothing special from this piece of plastic, and I was amazed at the end of the listening. Here is why…

The Communion managed to create an ugly song (of the bitch), that contains so many great and filthy elements. Fast hardcore is mixing with slow sludgecore/pv structures… and all of that transforms into something noisy in the end.  This track plunged me into a terrible trance, ha! These slow riffs are really dangerous for the human mind. The production is not excellent and I love it. The sound is pleasantly heavy, a bit messy with a suffocating atmosphere. This is awesome stuff and the only negative moment here is the shortness of this song.

Eric Wood`s Bastard Noise performing with unusual and interesting music (?). This record session has only one song, but it consists of three different parts. “For A Brother Left Behind” starts with a hypnotic electronic drone, then this song transforms into more psychedelic stuff. The second part sounds very atmospheric. There is only dark and evil growls with some ambient noises on the background must say this is the scariest part of this story. The third part of the track is the most extreme on my taste. This chaotic electronic madness could drive you crazy, haha! Side A could be compared with the rings of hell, where you going deeper and deeper to the pitch-black void.
