Last Days Of Humanity ‎– The Xtc Of Swallowing L.D.O.H. Feaces

You won’t surprise anyone with the new re-pressing of old LDOH tunes these days… there are so many labels that wanted to get this legendary band. BUT this new press of old live noise is very beautiful and cool. Left-Hand Patches (ex-Fat Ass rec) made a huge work with the visual part of “The Xtc Of Swallowing L.D.O.H. Feaces”. I was lucky to get a limited edition of this nasty lp. Colored vinyl, hardcover and insert… everything simply looks super cool and disgusting. It would be right to add, that this is the first time when you can get this album on vinyl (I`m super sure that very soon it would be very difficult to buy this one, especially limited variant). But enough about visual and tactile sensations let`s spin this bastard!

As I already mentioned, this is a live recording, not sure where it was recorded, but it sounds very nice. Yes, this piece has less of details (if you would compare it with proper studio session), some parts sound messy but this album brought me a lot of fun! It`s very easy to recognize brand pitch-shifted roars, fast drums, and furious energy. Guitar sound loud enough to catch some riffs, unfortunately, bass was lost during mixing (or even during recording). Ervin’s vocal make me smile, I always loved the way how he used distortion. As for drums, hm, snare sound is not that bright and loud in the way how it should be, but you should understand that this is an old record.

I will agree is you will say that this material is not so fast and radical like on “Putrefaction In Progress”, but I honestly love it. And without a doubt “The Xtc Of Swallowing L.D.O.H. Feaces” is their best live record, that was ever released!
